Dr. Liu says the best thing about being the dentist doesn’t occur at a single appointment. Rather, it’s about getting to know and caring for someone over the years, through every stage of life. She helps people meet milestones, overcome obstacles, and celebrate victories, and there’s no better feeling in the world.
Dr. Liu always wanted to work in healthcare, and her older sister is a dentist. After hearing about her experiences, she shadowed her family dentist and helped out at some volunteer dental clinics in college. That solidified her decision to go into dentistry, and she hasn’t looked back since!
A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Liu attended OHSU and earned her DMD with honors. She then completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the Portland VA. Today, she is a member of the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry and routinely takes continuing education to stay at the forefront of dental techniques and technology.
Originally from California, Dr. Liu has a fiancé and an adorable orange cat waiting for her at home. Fluent in both English and Cantonese, she likes taking day trips to the Oregon Coast, going to Portland Pickles games and concerts, and doing 1,000+ piece puzzles!
