For Dr. Voge, being able to draw on both the technical precision of science and the limitless creativity of art is one of his favorite parts of dentistry. What he finds most rewarding, however, are the relationships. He always takes the time to get to know his patients and their families as wonderfully unique individuals, and having the privilege to be part of their lives for years means the world to him.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
During the summer between high school and college, Dr. Voge was getting a cleaning, and his hygienist asked what his major was going to be. He didn’t have a good answer at the time, so she suggested shadowing their team to see if dentistry might be a good fit. After one day, he felt certain that it was! Ever since then, he hasn’t looked back.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Voge studied at Oregon State University, the University of New Mexico, and the University of Oregon, where he was actually a decathlete. He graduated from Oregon Health and Science University with his DMD in 2010; today, he has completed over 700 hours of continuing education and counting from prestigious organizations such as SPEAR!
Dr. Voge is a Fellow of the American Academy of General Dentistry and even served as President of the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry. He used to be an associate professor at the OHSU School of Dentistry as well. He is always looking for ways to enhance and elevate his clinical expertise for the sake of his patients.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Originally from Hillsboro, Dr. Voge is the proud father of two children (Owen and Emma). His wonderful wife Jessica is an OB/GYN in NW Portland, and the kids keep them plenty busy with a variety of activities, including sports (football, basketball, soccer, track – you name it), dance, and piano. The family also has two dogs (Taylor and Jory) and a cat named Colbie who is 19 years old and counting!
As for personal hobbies, you can often find Dr. Voge spending quality time in his yard and practicing his golf game. He is an avid runner and cyclist too.
